
Emilio has over 15 years of experience in mathematical modelling, data analysis and experimental work related to heat exchangers, energy efficiency, fouling mitigation and cleaning. With prior industrial experience in Repsol and Procter&Gamble, he joined Hexxcell in 2016 as Consultant.
He now leads the company’s consulting and R&D services to oil and gas and process industries and contributes to the development of Hexxcell Studio™. Emilio is a widely published author in the fields of Heat Transfer and Process Systems Engineering.
Emilio is a memebr of the BSI PVE/0 Pressure Equipment Committee where he contributes to the contribute to the development of a new ISO standard on “Energy efficiency evaluation of pressure vessels – Plate heat exchangers.”
He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, a M.Sc and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, both from Imperial College London. He was awarded an Iberdrola Foundation Scholarship for Master’s Studies in Energy and the Environment and he was recipient of the Geoff Hewitt Prize from Imperial College as the top student in the 2011 M.Sc.
